OUR MISSION

Driving a Sustainable Future

AMTECH has provided precision machine shop services since 1979. We are staffed with highly skilled technicians who take pride in their craftsmanship. AMTECH’s CNC programmers, shop supervisors and upper management have served a minimum four (4) year certified apprenticeship and each have 20-40 years of machine shop experience. Our shop technicians have an average of 18 years experience each, with the majority having a four (4) year certified apprenticeship.

AMTECH has the experience and capabilities to manufacture a variety of precision machined parts and fabricated weldments ranging from fragile miniature components to large pieces weighing several thousand pounds.

With over 40 years of extensive experience, our management’s technical expertise resides in machining and fabricating precision parts from ferrous and nonferrous alloys, stainless steels, space-age super alloys, ceramics, composites, plastics, and other materials.

Covering 20,000 square feet, our facility provides machining, fabrication, finishing, inspection, and assembly services. We offer a variety of capabilities, using precision equipment to manufacture hardware in prototype or production run qualities.

AMTECH’s machine shop facilities include some of the most modern CAD/CAM features on the market, from computer numerical control (CNC) programming to high precision CNC machining and turning centers. We have a variety of CNC mills with travels from 30 inches to 165 inches, CNC lathes with 20 inch swing, and CNC horizontal boring mills with 78 inch travel. We are equipped with CNC EDM machines (wire and RAM type).

AMTECH also has a variety of conventional equipment including mills, lathes, horizontal boring mills, vertical boring mills, surface grinders, planer and band saws. AMTECH is equipped with Cress heat treating ovens and a Rockwell hardness tester for checking heat treated components.

AMTECH’s fabrication shop is staffed with ASME and NAVSEA certified welders.  Our welders are certified to weld a variety of materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, 4130 steel, HY80 steel, HSLA steel, 15-5 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel. AMTECH welders are capable of certifying to most any materials. Our fabrication shop has a variety of fabrication equipment, along with a Flow waterjet that is capable of cutting material 6 inches thick x 6 ft x 12 ft, an Adira 175 ton CNC press brake, and an ADIRA CNC 1/4 inch x 10 foot shear.

Scott Blankenship is the Vice President of AMTECH with 25 plus years’ experience in operations management, machining technology, metal fabrication manufacturing complex assemblies.

Jon Austin is the General Manager at AMTECH. He has over 35 years of management experience in the shipbuilding and manufacturing industries. He is well versed in managing many different types of contracts and has serviced a variety of diverse customers to include private sector, commercial, and varying government branches, and organizations

Karen Atkins is the Chief Financial Officer at AMTECH with over 25 plus years’ experience in Finance, IT, Administration, and Compliance within the manufacturing industry. Karen’s experience includes Department of Defense Tier 1 and Tier 2 Manufacturing Contractors, Commercial manufacturer, Public and Private Manufacturing Companies.
